 Pakistani prisoner Sanaullaha, who was beaten up by inmates in Jammu's Kot Bhalwal jail, died in a Chandigarh hospital today. He had suffered kidney failure on Wednesday and was in critical condition. Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Haq suffered a kidney failure, said officials of the PGIMER Chandigarh. According to

Sanaullah, 52, a convicted terrorist serving a life sentence in Jammu's Kot Bhalwal jail, was undergoing treatment at PGIMER in Chandigarh, where he was shifted after being hit with a brick by a fellow inmate on Friday.

The attack followed a similar assault in a Pakistan jail, which led to the death of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh.

"The patient has become extremely critical. He has developed renal failure with no urine output since morning. Hence, he was put on peritoneal dialysis by Nephrologists," the bulletin released on Wednesday said.
