New Delhi: The CBI on Friday made its fourth arrest in the Shehla Masood murder case. The main suspect Zahida Parvez's friend Zeba Querashi has been held for helping Zahida plan and execute Shehla's murder. A massive hunt has also been launched for Saleem who is understood to have assisted the two shooters.
The motive behind the murder of Shehla Masood is now clear. According to investigating officers, Zahida Parvez, Dhruv Narayan Singh and Zeba Querashi are the main characters. While the contents of the recovered pen drives and
CDs are being scanned, Parvez's diary listings reveal her obsession with Dhruv Narayan Singh and. Being insecure about Singh, Parvez shadowed him and discovered that he was in touch with Shehla. She then confided to her friend Zeba and the two decided to eliminate Shehla Masood.
The diaries that Zahida Parvez wrote contain minute details about how she was tracking Dhruv Narayan's movements and how she was depressed with his association with other women. At one stage she is accusing Shehla and is writing about her desire to eliminate her.
A lot of incriminating evidence about Dhruv Narayan Singh recovered from Zeba Querashi's office will now be part of the case diary. It will cause a lot of embarrassment to the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh. Incidentally, Parvez has also mentioned two other women, allegedly close to Singh, whom she was planning to target.
If the motive behind Shehla's murder is hidden in her diaries, it is not a love triangle but a love net in which Dhruv Narayan is the only male.
CBI officers are trying to connect the dots emerging from Parvez's diaries before they question Dhruv Narayan Singh and his associates. The angle of their complicity is being looked into as the CBI probes how Parvez and Quariashi got in touch with Shakib Danger - -the man who arranged the killers of Shehla Masood.
